As I had one ready made and have thought up a new un i have two! as it
stands, and if they are cool with ya'll ill run them separately, the dude in the in person game which spawned this, and the bird in the
online version. i guess you could consider them both back-ups for each
other in the event of a fatality- as advised.

Isabelle
Maquereau

A sociallite and courtier, Isabelle is a confidant and messenger of the Queen of France. Traveling extensively, she politicks on behalf of her sponsor to arrange marriages, deliver messages, warnings and to conduct other darker
works of court diplomacy.

Of moderate standing by birth, she is nonetheless an influential figure, being recognisable in any of the royal courts in the region, it is well known she has the ear of the Queen in Paris (or Versailles? Unsure on location of the French capital), and also has relationships with influential figures in foreign nations.

Isabelle is a chaotic influence on the world, and a precursor of Machiavelli. While charming and charismatic, she unfortunately uses it to destructive and disharmonious ends wherever possible. She is clever enough that
these facts are not well known, and her patron the Queen delights in
this and uses Isabelle as a kind of diplomatic exocet to cause
upheaval and conflict wherever she sends her.

Vanity and this fondness for causing drama are weaknesses for Isabelle, she prefers to be at the centre of things and cannot abide being left out. Her redeeming qualities are a charitable streak to the unfortunate, particularly those whom but for circumstances of bad luck or birth could be doing well in the world. She tends to select ladies in waiting and servants whom are not very well suited but who really need the work, and has
enlightened views on the treatment of peasants.

Jacob Geisler

Jacob is a educated man from the Swiss-German border. Overtly a Catholic, he is a secret unbeliever and student of the occult. Facinated by tales of magic and pagan rituals he spends a lot of his time persuing further knowledge of such matters.

Jacob is an enlightened thinker and from an old noble family. His profession other than landed noble is as a writer and philosopher. Jacob associates in circles where his beliefs and interests are secretly shared, and has had a few high profile fallings out with the church on matters of religious and personal freedom.

Jacob is a moth drawn to a flame when it comes to dark magic and secrets. He is prepared to set aside otherwise stout morals in these persuits. Jacob is a passionate debater, and has got into a few scrapes in the past. He's no fighter, but is handy enough at the art of dueling to still be alive.

Virtue: Justice - He is a modern thinker and ahead of his time.
Vice: Greed - As above, in terms of knowledge rather than gold.

now i think of it, i might enjoy bouncing between these two a bit, how realistic is that DM?

I like them both. It's up to you what you wish to use, you could likely mix between the two for various different story settings, but you would obviously lose out somewhat in total karma as you'd be sharing it (somewhat) between PCs.

Your unused PC would recieve 50% of the karma of the one being used. The same system will be used if people's characters die. So everyone knows how it works.

It's absolutely up to you anyway, both are fine with me.

Okay. What do you want to do? Attempt to mix between both PCs or use one? I don't really mind, but as I already stated only the character being used will recieve full karma gain for any session.

Backup, spare or new PCs will recieve 50% of any karma gain (that same bonus applies to retainers, so bear that in mind ya'll).

I need to know which one or another you're predominantly interested in right now as I don't want to go nuts discussing both of them at length.

Typically I'm assuming Isabelle is the first choice for this game, correct?

You have one too many points in your backgrounds (16, max 5+10 freebie). Ah, you have a flaw, I'll assume it's 1pt.

Any particular reason she has weaponry? I don't mind/care, but even 1 is rather unusual for a woman.

Subterfuge = ability to lie and get away with it btw. Figured you might have overlooked that thinking it's something else. Empathy detects lying.

I'll have a talk with you about your background traits in person at some point when I can, I have a feeling you might not need so many depending on what you want to do, which may save you some points. But I'm happy if you are.

i thought i could spend the flaw point on a background point, hence the 16 total. i figured it was a big spend in that area but its a vital one for the character, but yeah we should chat about what those points spent in there means.

single point in weaponry was on the grounds that she might have half an idea about stabbing people, but i dont really give a monkeys.

subterfuge will get a buff too in that case.
